Mikey got his DOC Band at the end of July. The DOC Band people quoted us 3-4 months. Mikey progressed very quickly, which isn't too surprising since we followed the rules to the letter, but is a little surprising since he was already almost nine months old. He also made good progress because he started growing more quickly around the time he got the helmet because of some other health issues being resolved. He got his helmet off at his 12-week appointment.
He didn't have any regression, thankfully. We were a little worried about that because his head had been changing all the way up to the end, and he sleeps on his back. If you know what you're looking for, you can still see some asymmetry, but his head is beautiful.
There is one negative in this whole thing. His face changed a little while he was in the band. This isn't bad, since much of that change was problems (that we didn't know were problems, but whatever) going away. BUT, his little face aged months and months in that 12 weeks. Instead of being an adorable little baby with some wisdom in his eyes, he's a handsome a little man. I guess I don't have room to complain. Besides, he's still tiny, so I can tell myself he's still a baby. :o)
I'll try to add pictures to this post, but don't hold your breath.
